We found Tännäskröket after deciding to have a winter wedding in Sweden. It might seem like an odd choice but we enjoy the winter season and Tännäskröket has the coziness and activities we love in a single place big enough for all of us to stay. Our hope is that you’ll join us at this vacation destination to spend time together with some of our favourite people! We spent a long weekend visiting before we committed to hold the wedding here and it was such a nice experience. We were able to go cross country skiing two days and the views of the Swedish mountains around this area are simply incredible. Our visit was late into spring so the snow conditions were fairly wet and the ski lifts were already closed for the season. But this just means we are excited to explore the pistes for the first time with all of you!
Lodging
Lodging Update: (September 24th, 2024)
We have worked out with Tännäskröket staff to reserve some different lodging options just for you! The way this works is with a simple booking code. This way, you have all the freedom to decide what housing you think is correct for you and those you might be traveling with. When you are ready to book simply mention our code during checkout which will pull from our reservation and apply a 10% discount! You can book through the website, by emailing, or over the phone. Reminder to specify if you would like bed linens and cleaning to be provided for a small fee.

Where possible we think it would be great to have people group up to share costs and make it feel like a vacation! Our main objective for choosing Tännäskröket is so that all of us can stay nearby for this celebration weekend!
Some key points to be aware of: The lodging is more similar to an Airbnb, not a hotel. There is a kitchen in each unit with all essentials, where you have the ability to cook some of your own meals. Groceries can be bought a short drive away in Funäsdalen or possibly ordered to a pick-up point near the main road. Bed sheets and towels can be rented for a small fee or you should plan to bring your own.
Activities
Alpine Skiing
Rentals can be hired at the Tännäskröket shop as well as lift tickets. If you want to make the most downhill skiing during your visit check out the Fjällpass which gives access to 6 surrounding ski areas all on the same lift card.
Cross Country Skiing
Prepared tracks extend directly from Tännäskröket and connect to an incredible network of trails all throughout the valley. Rental equipment is available at the Tänneskröket shop, maps and tickets can be found in “Spår & Leder” app by Funäsfjällen
Snow Mobile
Tännäskröket is situated among one of the worlds best snow mobile trail systems. Over 600km of trails can be explored, but youll need more than just one weekend. Guided tours are available in Tännäs for a discount when staying at Tännäskröket.
Spa
A small spa area can be booked at Tännäskröket where there is a sauna and a jacuzzi to enjoy.
Local Brewery
Härjebrygg is a local craft brewery in the small village of Tännäs. They offer beer tastings and work closely with the Musk Ox center nearby.
Musk Ox
Take a guided tour of the unique musk ox enclosure in Tännäs to see these incredible ancient animals. myskoxcentrum.se
Lopme Laante
Along with all the outdoor activities, the area is a cultural hub for the South Sami people. Explore the cultural center just a short drive away. lopmelaante.se
